Crafted with Transparency highlights diamond manufacturer’s advances in provenance, emissions and responsible production
By Amy Wakeham
Dimexon, one of the world’s leading diamond manufacturers, has released its latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report. Titled Crafted with Transparency, it documents the manufacturer’s ESG achievements in 2025, and sets new sustainability, ethics and provenance goals for the coming years.
Founded in 1966 by Pankaj Mehta, Dimexon specialises in traceable, ethically sourced and responsibly crafted natural diamonds that it cuts and polishes at its manufacturing site in Coimbatore, India. It has long been an innovator in the diamond industry, recognised for its pioneering supply chain transparency, sustainable manufacturing practices, and commitment to employing women.
Highlights of this year’s report show that the business has achieved a 50% reduction on Scope 1 and 2 emissions, against a 2019 baseline. It also launched Infinitrace during the reporting period, which is Dimexon’s fully integrated traceability and impact-reporting system that created bespoke, autitable reports for clients that combine provenance information with key ESG metrics so customers can clearly chart the impact of the diamonds they buy. The manufacturer has decribed Infinitrace as an industry first.
Dimexon CEO Rajiv Mehta said: “Crafted with Transparency reflects the values that have guided our business for six decades. We have always believed that performance and integrity are inseparable: trust is built through the care we take in our work and the transparency with which we share it.
“In 2025, Infinitrace brought provenance information together with key ESG indicators, giving our partners clearer, auditable insight into our practices. We also continued to advance our climate and nature strategies and invest in our people and communities. As we mark Dimexon’s 60th anniversary and 50 years as a De Beers Sightholder this year, we remain focused on advancing transparency, innovation and responsible growth across the diamond value chain.”
Crafted With Transparency, released as Dimexon celebrates its 60th anniversary in business, centres around four key pillars: Environmental Synergy; Product Integrity; Social Stewardship; and Responsible Business Conduct. It shared the below achievements for each area.
Environmental Synergy
In 2025, Dimexon reduced absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% against its CY2019 baseline, while 57% of its total energy came from renewable sources. At its Coimbatore site, 11,379 kilolitres of wastewater were recycled and reused, and the site achieved zero waste to landfill. Dimexon also published its first report aligning with the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
Product Integrity
Dimexon launched Infinitrace, a fully integrated and auditable traceability and impact-reporting system designed to deliver verified provenance and ESG metrics for every diamond sold. In 2025, Dimexon could verify the provenance for 100% of its diamonds, and the diamond manufacturer obtained 100% supplier compliance with ‘Know Your Client’ requirements under global anti-money-laundering and terrorism-financing rules.
Social Stewardship
Women represented 78.7% of Dimexon’s workforce in 2025. Employees completed 7,183 hours of training, a 78% increase on CY2024, and every employee completed ESG and ethics training. The report also highlights continued investment in workforce development and community initiatives.
Responsible Business Conduct
Dimexon recorded no substantiated compliance breaches or cases of bribery and corruption in 2025. It also achieved Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) recertification for a further three years, covering the period to 30 June 2028. Over a third (36%) of its suppliers are also certified by the RJC.
Crafted With Transparency is the fifth annual ESG report published by Dimexon, which has committed to producing publicly available reports since 2022.
