Fei Liu closes silver jewellery business as brand refocuses
The popular wholesale collections ceased production at the end of 2025 as the designer focuses instead on one-of-a-kind luxury jewels and a collection of lab-grown diamond gold jewellery

Jewellery designer Fei Liu officially closed his global silver jewellery business at the end of 2025, marking a significant strategic shift toward high jewellery, bespoke commissions, and collector-led art pieces. The decision draws to a close to the wholesale arm of the brand, which, at its height, saw Liu’s silver collections stocked in more than 80 stores worldwide.
In the UK, stockists of Fei Liu silver jewellery included Windsor Jewellers, Allum & Sidaway, David Gilbert, Autumn & May, Strange the Jewellers, and more. Retailers are continuing to sell through existing silver stock.
The move reflects Liu’s sharpened focus on craftsmanship, one-of-a-kind creations, and a luxury positioning aligned with his longstanding reputation as an artist-jeweller. In recent years, the designer has increasingly stepped away from volume-driven silver production to concentrate on one-off designs that he has been selling via global auction houses. He will also continue to produce a range of gold jewellery set with lab-grown diamonds that launched through retail partners last year.

A return to his roots
“Silver jewellery has been an integral part of my journey,” says Fei Liu. “It has been a medium through which I explored sculptural forms and storytelling, but as the brand evolves, I feel called to return to my roots in fine jewellery where every gemstone and detail carries deeper emotional weight. This decision reflects a desire to focus on creating pieces of lasting value; meaningful designs that resonate across generations and speak to the individuality of those who wear them. It is the right time to refine our path and honour the essence of what we truly want to offer.”
The announcement coincides with the unveiling of Imperfection, a high jewellery torque. The ambitious one-of-a-kind design underscores Liu’s current artistic direction. The wing-shaped asymmetric platinum necklace is anchored by a 50.25-carat Georgian aquamarine briolette drop, framed by black and white mother-of-pearl feathers, and more than 8.8 carats of diamonds. The sculptural necklace, which is a celebration of contrast and individuality, exemplifies both Liu’s technical capability and his shift from commercial collections to emotionally driven art jewels.
