Four jewellery lots to bid on at Bonhams’ California Jewels sale
Contemporary jewellery designer Fei Liu crafts exclusive designs with hand-carved rock crystal, vibrant rubellites, and soft-grey pearls for live auction.

The upcoming California Jewels live auction at Bonhams Los Angeles on 20th May, 2025, will include six exclusive pieces crafted specially for the sale by award-winning jewellery designer Fei Liu, split into four lots.
Liu, who is known for his bold use of colour, has incorporated decorative hand-carved rock crystal into two of the lots that will be sold via the auction next week. He has used the material to create an ethereal softness as a backdrop to grey baroque pearls in a platinum bracelet and earring set, and in another design carved colourless quartz serve as petals in a floral-inspired demi-parure set with vibrant rubellites, looped by diamonds.

The jeweller also has two bracelets in the Bonhams California Jewels sale. One is an Art Deco-inspired statement piece that uses bold, multi-shaped cuts of onyx in place of links, and at the centre of each is a pink sapphire or blush garnet in various cuts, edged by diamonds. The second bracelet, crafted in platinum, mixes oval links set with blue sapphires and diamond-set spacers to create an alternative to the popular chain-link bracelets.
